Getting started at the Department of Strategic Communication
For practical information about your life as a student at the Department of Strategic Communication, you can log onto the online student platform Canvas after you have created your student account. Here you'll be able to access the course "ISK Student EN", where we'll add loads of important information for you.

Checklist
- Create your student account - for students on freestanding courses, you need to wait until the second acceptance letter.
- Login to Canvas, the University learning platform, to access your courses, and study information from the Department in ISK student EN. Courses are available in Canvas 2 weeks before course start.
- Register for your course - only for students on freeestanding courses. The week before the course starts, you need to register for the course in Ladok in order to take the course.

Have a disability? Apply for learning support!
Lund University offers various forms of learning support for students with long-term disabilities. A long-term disability might be, for example, reading and writing difficulties/dyslexia, visual impairment, neuropsychiatric disabilities or mental health conditions.
Once you have been admitted, you make your application via www.nais.uhr.se. When Disability Support Services receives your application via NAIS, they will contact you to set up an individual meeting.

Arrival day & Orientation Weeks
Starting a new programme in a new city or country is an exciting experience, but there is a lot to think about in your first days here at Lund University. The University arranges a number of both practically helpful and also fun activities for you, whether you're starting a new program or are here on exchange. We highly recommend that you take part in the Arrival Day and the following Orientation Weeks - it will definitely be worth it!
Get your LU card
When you start studying at Campus Helsingborg, you need an LU card, which serves as an access card and library card. Photographs for LU cards are taken in the Security Office at Campus Helsingborg, room C146 on the ground floor. Bring photo ID with you!
- Opening hours “Vaktmästeriet” (C146) weeks 34,35 & 36: 9:00-11:30, 13:00-15:00 (Mon-Fri)
- Regular opening hours from week 37: 10:00-11:00 (Mon-Thurs)
